Christmas Curb Appeal Tips

Whether you're wrapping fairy lights around the house, hanging illuminated icicles from the eaves or installing inflatable figures in the front garden, it doesn't take too much effort to add some brilliant curb appeal to your home for the festive season. We’ve put together some excellent tips to help you add some much needed curb appeal.

Add some more trees

You can never have too many Christmas trees! If you have a little extra space on your front porch or garden, try adding an extra tree, even a miniature potted one! Add some string lights and festive decorations to make your tree glow. If your tree is outside, you will need to consider the durability of your ornaments, as we all know the British weather can be unpredictable to say the least.

Light the way

If you have a path or driveway leading up to your house, why not create your very own runway for Santa? Lanterns are functional and gorgeous, and look great regardless of the season. Depending on preference, either choose real or non-flame candles for your walkway.

Festive wreath

A great way to add Christmas curb appeal to your home is to hang a wreath on your door. You can find a huge variety of wreaths at garden centres and online. If you’re feeling creative, you can even make your own, using evergreen branches, ribbons, pinecones and ornaments. If you do decide to make your own, ensure that all is secured with cable ties so that nothing falls apart.

Simplicity

If you’re looking for some minimal curb appeal ideas for Christmas, there are a few simple ideas that can transform your house into an elegant winter wonderland. Simple string lights along the eaves of your house can make a bold statement. You can even wrap them along window frames, railings, or even your front door. Ensure that all of your lights are of a similar colour to make them look even better.

Add a welcome mat

Switch up your regular welcome mat for one with a bit more festivity. Fun Christmas mats give your porch an immediate boost, and are almost too nice to wipe your feet on!

Porch decor

You may have a wreath and some lights in your front porch, but why not add some more festive decor? There are a brilliant range of ornaments to choose from, such as nutcracker soldiers, father christmases, candy canes, and much more. Adding ornaments will spruce up your porch in no time at all, whilst adding an element of fun and creativity to your home.
